Lake Shore Freshmen Academy Collects Hats for Local Mission

The Lake Shore Freshman Academy gave its students a challenge in December, and that challenge was to collect as many winter hats by Christmas as they could.  Over 40 hats were gathered and were donated to St. Luke’s Mission in Buffalo to provide necessities for those that need winter apparel.

The goal of the initiative was to teach freshmen that there is a diverse world outside the halls of Lake Shore, and being socially conscious, compassionate and benevolent will enable them to be both informed and empathetic of the lives of those less fortunate. The Freshman Academy would like to thank our students and families for their kindness and generosity.

Happy New Year to all in the Evans-Brant Community, and remember to “pay it forward” in 2017.
