Public Kickoff Meeting
The Town of Evans and Village of Angola have begun the process of updating their Comprehensive Plan and invite community residents, business owners, and other interested individuals to attend the public kick-off meeting to learn about the process and plan.
A Comprehensive Plan is a community-driven document that provides guidance on future policies, projects and actions for various aspects of the Town and Village. Examples include, but are not limited to, neighborhoods and housing, recreation, infrastructure, economic development, municipal relations, Route 5, and zoning. The planning process involves community outreach, data collection and analysis of the existing conditions for both the Town and Village. Developing a cohesive vision, set of goals and strategies are all part of our regular meetings and discussion with the Steering Committee.
The meeting will be on August 29th from 6:30 to 8:00pm in the Lake Shore Middle School auditorium. This is your chance to be a part of the process to shape the future of the Town and Village. There will also be other opportunities for public input and to express your thoughts as the plan moves forward.
Information will be posted on the Planning Department page of the Town of Evans website as the planning process moves forward. Please CLICK HERE to access this page. Once on the Planning Department, you’ll find a link to take a survey to give us your input on what you’d like to see happening in your town, or simply click here to TAKE THE SURVEY.
